First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This early-stage study tested a custom ear-shaped implant (AUR-201) for people aged 8 to 29 with a condition called microtia, where one outer ear is underdeveloped. The goal was to see if the implant was safe and improved appearance. Only 2 people enrolled before the study was stopped, so no firm conclusions can be drawn.
