First seen Apr 11, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looked at whether different ways of focusing attention during exercise can improve physical performance and thinking skills in older adults. Researchers divided 60 participants aged 65 and older into groups that used internal focus (thinking about body movements), external focus (thinking about the environment), or no specific focus during training. Over 12 weeks, they measured balance, walking, and cognitive function to see which approach works best.
