First seen Mar 07, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tests whether a very low dose of atropine eye drops, given once nightly for 6 months, can slow the progression of nearsightedness (myopia) in children aged 4 to 16. Researchers will measure changes in eye length and prescription strength compared to a control group. The goal is to find a simple, safe way to manage myopia and reduce the need for stronger glasses over time.
