First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study tests whether atropine eye drops can slow the progression of myopia (nearsightedness) in children aged 5 to 10. About 144 children will receive either the active eye drops or a placebo for 24 months. The goal is to see if the drops reduce how fast their eyesight worsens, without needing glasses or surgery.
