Massive study tracks Real-World results of heart rhythm surgery
NCT ID NCT03091452
Summary
This study is creating a registry to observe and document the real-world care of 2,000 patients who have heart surgery to treat atrial fibrillation (an irregular heartbeat). It aims to understand how often and why this surgery is used, how safe and effective it is, and what care patients receive afterward. The study is observational, meaning it collects data on existing treatments rather than testing a new one.
