Massive data dive: tracking 12,000+ hearts to predict stroke risk
NCT ID NCT05810727
Summary
This study looked back at the medical records of over 12,500 people in Korea with atrial fibrillation (AF), a common heart rhythm problem. Researchers analyzed how the condition's features changed over time and linked those changes to serious health outcomes like stroke and death. The goal was to better understand the long-term risks of AF by studying existing national health data, without enrolling new patients.
