Heart rhythm breakthrough: can lifestyle overhaul plus procedure stop AFib for good?
NCT ID NCT03682991
Summary
This study compares two approaches to prevent atrial fibrillation (AFib) from returning. Researchers are testing whether combining a heart procedure (catheter ablation) with an intensive 12-week lifestyle program works better than the procedure alone. The trial involves 509 adults with symptomatic AFib who also have at least two risk factors like high blood pressure, obesity, or diabetes.
