Home heart monitor put to the test for Stroke-Preventing detection

NCT ID NCT06351761

Summary

This study tested how well a home health device, the Withings BeamO, can automatically detect an irregular heart rhythm called atrial fibrillation (AFib). Researchers compared the device's readings against the standard 12-lead ECG used in hospitals. The goal was to see if this simpler, at-home tool could accurately identify AFib, which is a major risk factor for stroke.
