Withdrawn trial sought to Fine-Tune heart procedure maps
NCT ID NCT04109053
Summary
This study aimed to test a very detailed electrical mapping system during a standard procedure to treat a type of irregular heartbeat called paroxysmal atrial fibrillation. The procedure, called cryoballoon ablation, freezes small areas of heart tissue to block faulty electrical signals. Researchers wanted to see if the new mapping tool could better confirm when the procedure was successfully completed. The trial was withdrawn by the sponsor and did not enroll any participants.
