New heart device aims to zap away dangerous irregular heartbeats
NCT ID NCT05115214
Summary
This study is testing a new medical device called the SpherePVI™ Multi-Ablation System to treat paroxysmal atrial fibrillation, a type of irregular heartbeat. The device uses a catheter to deliver targeted energy to isolate problematic veins in the heart that cause the irregular rhythm. Researchers will enroll 150 adults who haven't responded well to medication to see if the device is safe and effective at controlling their condition.
