NCT ID NCT05342974
First seen Apr 22, 2026 · Last updated Jun 09, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This early-phase study tested whether taking atorvastatin (a cholesterol medicine) for a week before misoprostol can safely end an early pregnancy. Nine women between 5-7 weeks pregnant participated. The goal was to see if the combination interferes with pregnancy progress. This is a small pilot study, so results are preliminary and not ready for widespread use.
