First seen Feb 20, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study tests whether atorvastatin, a drug usually used for cholesterol, can prevent migraine attacks in people with episodic migraine. Researchers will compare two daily doses (20 mg and 40 mg) to a placebo in 450 adults aged 18-65. The goal is to see if the drug reduces the number of migraine days and the need for rescue medication, while also checking for side effects.
