First seen Mar 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 22, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a blood test measuring the 'atherogenic index' can predict how well the drug tadalafil works for men with erectile dysfunction caused by blood vessel problems. Researchers will give 132 men tadalafil daily for one month and compare their symptom scores before and after treatment. The goal is to see if this simple blood marker can help personalize treatment.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

tadalafil

What this could lead to

If successful, this could help doctors predict which men with erectile dysfunction will respond best to tadalafil based on a simple blood test.

What could go wrong

This is a small, observational study, not a large trial. The link between the blood marker and treatment response may not be strong enough to change clinical practice.
