New hope for advanced stomach cancer: drug combo targets hard-to-treat tumors

Summary
This study tests a new drug (ATG-022) combined with pembrolizumab, with or without chemotherapy, in people with advanced stomach or gastroesophageal junction cancer that has spread and cannot be removed by surgery. The cancer must have a specific marker called CLDN18.2 and be negative for HER2. The goal is to see if the combination can shrink tumors and control the disease. About 132 adults will take part.
