First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study tested a combination of the immunotherapy drug atezolizumab plus standard chemotherapy in 70 people with extensive-stage small cell lung cancer who were in poor health (ECOG 2). The goal was to see if this treatment is safe and helps them live longer. While immunotherapy has helped healthier patients, this trial focuses on a group often left out of research.
