Summary
This study compared two common types of clear plastic trays used for at-home teeth whitening. Researchers wanted to see which tray patients preferred and which caused less tooth sensitivity or gum irritation. Forty adults used a whitening gel in either an Essix-type tray or a Vivera tray every other day for four weeks. They reported their satisfaction, whitening results, and any side effects.
