First seen Apr 05, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looks at whether having a paracentesis (draining fluid from the belly) at home can improve symptoms for women with cancer-related ascites. About 20 women who have already had the procedure in a clinic will try it at home. Researchers will measure changes in symptom scores and track any side effects to see if this approach is safe and helpful.
