Silent bile duct condition: to operate or not?
NCT ID NCT07028164
Summary
This study looked at over 1,000 people in China who had enlarged bile ducts but no symptoms, a condition often found by accident during scans. Researchers tracked these patients to understand how common this is, what types occur, and whether surgery improves long-term health compared to just watching and waiting. The goal is to create better guidelines for doctors on when to recommend surgery for people with this silent condition.
