Can a plant extract supercharge your protein shake?
NCT ID NCT06110260
Summary
This study tested whether a supplement called AstraGin, made from ginseng and astragalus extracts, helps healthy adults absorb more amino acids from whey protein. Thirty healthy adults took either AstraGin or a placebo with a protein shake, and researchers measured amino acid levels in their blood and tested their grip strength. The goal was to see if better protein absorption could lead to improved muscle function.
