First seen Apr 15, 2026 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a simple skin test can help doctors choose the right medicine for children with allergic asthma. About 300 African American and Caucasian children aged 6 to 17 with uncontrolled asthma will receive either an antihistamine or a placebo. The goal is to see if the skin test can predict who will benefit most from antihistamine treatment.
