Summary
This study aims to find the best steroid treatment for children hospitalized with severe asthma. It will compare three different dosing schedules of two common steroids (dexamethasone and methylprednisolone) in 159 children aged 3-17. The main goal is to see which treatment is more effective at preventing the need for more steroids after hospital discharge and which has fewer side effects.
