Study tests which steroid gets asthmatic kids breathing easier faster

NCT ID NCT07275593

Summary

This study compared two common steroid medicines—one given by IV (dexamethasone) and one by mouth (prednisolone)—to see which works better for treating sudden, severe asthma attacks in children. It involved 224 children aged 2 to 12 who came to the hospital with an asthma flare-up. The goal was to find the best treatment to help kids recover quicker and get back to their daily lives.
