Scientists hunt for early warning signs of deadly thunderstorm asthma
NCT ID NCT07055542
Summary
This study aims to find biological markers that can predict who is at high risk for severe asthma attacks during spring pollen seasons and thunderstorms. Researchers will track 530 adults with hay fever in Australia over two years, monitoring their symptoms and testing their blood and lung function. The goal is to create a tool that identifies vulnerable people so doctors can advise protective treatments before dangerous weather events.
