NCT ID NCT06774846
Summary
This study aims to see if taking a low-dose aspirin pill daily can help prevent heart complications and death in people aged 75 and older who are hospitalized for pneumonia. It will compare aspirin to a placebo (sugar pill) in 600 patients. The main goal is to check if aspirin reduces the risk of death from any cause within 90 days after the pneumonia starts.
