Higher aspirin dose tested to stop repeat premature births

Summary
This study aims to find out if a higher daily dose of aspirin (162mg) is more effective than the standard lower dose (81mg) at preventing another preterm birth in people who have had one before. It will enroll 1,800 pregnant participants with a prior preterm birth and randomly assign them to one of the two aspirin doses, taken daily from early pregnancy until near the end. The main goal is to see which dose better reduces the chance of having the baby too early again or experiencing a fetal loss before 35 weeks.
