Could a simple aspirin pill stop preterm births?
NCT ID NCT06980025
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study is testing whether a higher daily dose of aspirin (162 mg) works better than the standard dose (81 mg) to prevent another early birth in women who have already had a preterm delivery before 35 weeks. About 1,800 pregnant women will take one of the two doses from early pregnancy until nearly full term. The goal is to see if the higher dose reduces the chance of having another preterm birth or losing the baby before 35 weeks.
