Ancient herb joins fight against tough ovarian cancer

Summary
This study is testing whether adding Ashwagandha, an herbal supplement, to a standard chemotherapy drug (DOXIL) can help control ovarian cancer that has returned after initial treatment. The first part of the study will find the safest dose of Ashwagandha to combine with chemo. The second part will see if this combination helps shrink tumors or stop the cancer from growing in 72 women with recurrent ovarian cancer.
