Stem cells, diet, and poop pills: new combo therapy targets autism's root causes

NCT ID NCT07546942

First seen May 03, 2026 ยท Last updated May 03, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether a mix of the patient's own stem cells, a strict keto diet, and fecal transplants can improve social skills, communication, and gut health in 50 teens and adults with autism. Participants must be stable on their current medications and have no recent antibiotic use. The goal is to reduce inflammation and fix gut-brain connection issues, but this is an early-phase trial, so benefits are not yet proven.
