First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tests a new type of wire (lead) for an implantable heart device called an ICD. The lead is placed under the breastbone to help the device shock the heart back to a normal rhythm if a dangerous arrhythmia occurs. The study includes 19 adults who need an ICD and will follow them for at least 3 months to check safety and how well it works.
