NCT ID NCT03480776
First seen Jan 19, 2026 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tests whether taking aspirin (a common anti-inflammatory drug) can reduce the risk of ovarian cancer in women with BRCA1 or BRCA2 gene mutations, who are at high risk. About 117 women will take either aspirin or a placebo daily for up to 2 years before their scheduled preventive surgery. Researchers will then compare the number of pre-cancerous or cancerous lesions found in their removed tissues.
