Blood-Filtering machine tested as bridge to liver transplant

NCT ID NCT07329036

Summary

This study is testing a two-part blood-cleansing system for adults hospitalized with sudden, severe liver failure. The goal is to see if this artificial liver support can stabilize patients' organ function and blood clotting, helping them survive long enough for their own liver to recover or to receive a transplant. Researchers will measure how many patients are alive without a transplant 21 days after starting the treatment.
