Artificial cornea offers new hope for the blind
NCT ID NCT07526389
Summary
This study is testing a new type of artificial cornea implant for people with severe corneal blindness who are not good candidates for a traditional donor cornea transplant. Researchers will implant the device in 54 participants across China to see if it safely restores useful vision. The main goal is to measure how many people recover from blindness six months after the surgery.
