Summary
This early-stage study tests whether artesunate, a drug used for malaria, is safe for people with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), a disease that causes lung scarring and breathing problems. Fifteen adults aged 40 and older will receive either artesunate or a placebo for 12 weeks. The goal is to find a safe dose and see if the drug affects blood markers of the disease.
