First human test of brain disease 'Shield' drug begins
NCT ID NCT06575153
Summary
This is the first study in people to test the safety of a new drug called ART5803. It is being tested in 64 healthy volunteers to see how their bodies handle it and to check for side effects. The drug is designed to block harmful antibodies that cause a serious brain inflammation disease, but this early trial is only checking safety, not how well it treats the disease.
