Coloring before surgery calms nerves, boosts hope
NCT ID NCT07286097
Summary
This study tested whether doing an artistic activity, like coloring mandalas, could help patients feel less anxious and more hopeful before abdominal surgery. Researchers compared 64 patients who either colored mandalas or did breathing exercises before their operation. They measured anxiety, hope, spiritual well-being, and vital signs to see which approach worked better.
