First seen Mar 18, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study tests whether a gel form of silver diamine fluoride works as well as the liquid version for stopping cavities in young children. About 630 healthy preschoolers with at least one cavity will receive the treatment every six months for 30 months. The goal is to see if the gel can harden the decayed spots and prevent them from getting worse.
