Summary
This study is testing whether eating freeze-dried aronia berry powder daily can help reduce inflammation and improve breathing in people with COPD. Fifty patients aged 50-80 will take either the berry powder or a look-alike placebo powder for eight weeks alongside their regular treatment. Researchers will measure changes in blood markers of inflammation, lung function, and how patients feel.
