First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 35 times
Summary
This study looked at whether aromatherapy (using scents) or acupressure (applying pressure to certain spots on the body) could reduce pain and improve sleep in 100 children aged 6 to 12 who had abdominal surgeries like appendix or hernia repair. The children rated their pain before and after the treatments, and their sleep quality was also checked. The goal was to find a simple, drug-free way to help kids recover more comfortably.
