Sweet scent for stiff arms: aromatherapy tested in stroke care
NCT ID NCT07286825
Summary
This small, completed pilot study tested whether adding sweet marjoram essential oil to a massage could help elderly stroke survivors. Thirty people in Hong Kong care homes received twice-weekly arm massages for four weeks, with one group getting the special oil and the other a plain oil. Researchers measured arm movement, pain, and mood to see if the scented oil made a difference.
