First seen May 06, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests if a liquid made from the arnica plant can safely and effectively heal skin sores caused by leishmaniasis, a parasitic disease spread by sandflies. About 96 people with confirmed leishmaniasis will receive either arnica tincture applied to the skin or standard injected medication. The goal is to see if the arnica treatment leads to complete healing of the sores by 90 days.
