Awake or asleep? study tests which anesthesia works better for arm surgery
NCT ID NCT07352839
Summary
This study compared two ways to keep patients comfortable during arm or hand surgery. One method numbs only the arm while the patient stays awake; the other puts the patient completely to sleep. Researchers measured which approach led to less pain, fewer side effects, and faster recovery for 120 adults having planned orthopedic surgery.
