Scientists probe link between ventilator settings and patient survival
NCT ID NCT07171632
Summary
This study aims to understand how the energy delivered by a ventilator to a patient's damaged lungs relates to their chance of survival. Researchers will observe 184 adults with severe lung failure (ARDS) who are on a ventilator. They will measure specific ventilator settings to see which combinations are linked to better or worse hospital outcomes.
