Summary
This study is testing whether a new approach to setting breathing machines can better protect the heart in patients with severe lung failure caused by pneumonia. Researchers will compare this new method against current standard practices in 180 hospitalized adults who need breathing machine support. The goal is to reduce heart strain and complications while patients are being treated for their lung condition.
