First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tests whether augmented reality (AR) training can improve how oncology nurses manage malignant fungating wounds—a common, smelly, and painful complication in advanced cancer. About 188 nurses from a Taiwan hospital will use AR to practice wound care in a realistic virtual setting. The goal is to boost their knowledge and skills, which are often lacking, to improve patient comfort and quality of life.
