New hope for patients dreading Post-Surgery sickness

NCT ID NCT07371728

Summary

This study is testing if adding a medication called aprepitant to standard anti-nausea drugs can better prevent nausea and vomiting after middle ear surgery. It will involve 100 adult patients undergoing procedures like eardrum repair or mastoid surgery. The goal is to see if this combination makes recovery more comfortable, as nausea is a common and distressing problem after these operations.
