Summary

This study tests whether eating gradually increasing amounts of raw apple can help people with birch pollen and apple allergies tolerate the fruit. About 110 participants will receive oral immunotherapy for 9 months. The goal is to reduce or eliminate the mouth itching and swelling that typically occurs within minutes of eating apple.
