Could less medicine be better after appendix removal?
NCT ID NCT05002829
Summary
This study tested whether giving fewer antibiotics after appendicitis surgery is just as safe as giving more. Researchers wanted to see if shorter treatment could reduce antibiotic side effects without increasing the risk of infections. They compared two approaches in over 650 adults who had their appendix removed.
