Phone app aims to calm surgery fears and ease recovery

Summary
This study is testing whether a mobile app that educates patients about their upcoming kidney stone surgery can improve their experience. Researchers will compare 68 patients who use the app to those who receive standard clinic information. They will measure if the app reduces pre-surgery anxiety and fear, lowers post-surgery pain and painkiller use, and shortens hospital stays.
