Can a phone app help stop teens from harming themselves?
NCT ID NCT04909203
Summary
This study tested a smartphone app called iKinnect2.0, designed to help prevent suicide and self-harm in young people (ages 15-21) who are involved with the juvenile justice system. The app provided coping skills to the youth and taught their parents strategies to support them. Researchers compared the app to a different app that provided basic safety features and suicide resource information to see which was more effective over 16 weeks.
