Your phone as a nurse? app aims to cut IV line dangers at home
NCT ID NCT06905119
Summary
This study is testing a smartphone app called SpadCare that teaches and guides patients on how to care for their special IV line (called a PICC) at home. The goal is to see if using the app helps patients avoid serious problems like infections, blood clots, or pain, by making them more involved and informed in their own care. About 200 adults who need long-term IV therapy at home will use the app and be monitored to see if it improves safety and their experience.
